The 2019 Kaimanawa Ranges Bus Trip was held 22nd, 23rd and 24th of November 2019 with an enthusiastic group of people joining us for a tour of the Kaimanawa Ranges and a chance to see the horses in the wild.
These trips are usually run by the Kaimanawa Heritage Horse Welfare Society and serve as their main fundraiser for the year. This year, the statue project was able to arrange an extra day of bus tours, to kick start the fundraising efforts towards the statue. This would not have been possible without the support of the NZ Army and Department of Conservation.
Dempsey Motors and Transit Coaches generously donated the use of their buses for the day and a number of artworks and framed photography were donated to be auctioned off on the day.
Our sincere thanks to everyone that helped make this day possible.
